Logosol PH260 – the Professional Machine Which Manages to Perform Continuous Industrial Use
The 4-sided planer/moulder for those with high demands on
the planing result and speed.
PRODUCING PANELS and mouldings
from wood is a simple and profitable
way to refine wood. Logosol PH260
planes and profiles four sides at once.
You can quickly and easily produce
all imaginable standard and specialised
profiles. As it is easy to reset the cutters,
PH260 is perfect for short customized
series. One difference between PH260
and traditional multi-cutter planers is
that the upper and lower cutters are
suspended at both ends. Due to this,
the machine is extremely stable, even
though it has considerably wider cutters
than most large planing machines. The
planing table, where the lower and side
cutters are placed, is made of heavy cast
iron. The machine cabinet is made of 4
mm sheet steel.
It doesn’t get any smoother
It is impossible to see the difference
between a piece planed on a PH260
and one that is planed on an industrial
machine costing tens of thousands.
The only difference is that the more
expensive planer is faster. With PH260
you can plane ca 500 board metres
per hour. With an industrial planer the
output is several kilometres per hour. The
reliability of PH260 is very high due to
thermoguards which prevent each of the
5 electric motors from being overloaded.
A wide range of profiles
PH260 can handle everything from
log cabin timber to picture frames.
You can choose from a wide range
of standard profile knives or order
your own custom-made profile knives.
Both standard and specially designed
profile knives are at reasonable prices.
Cut deeply
The cutters can handle sizeable depths.
This enables the planer to cut deep
and beautiful profiles. PH260 also have
a remarkable capacity when it comes
to handling poorly sawn material. The
upper cutter can plane to a depth of 8
mm, plus the profile depth, in one single
operation, and the side cutters can mill
away even more.
Use other cutter systems
When delivered, the planer is ready for
squaring. It is set up with HSS planing
knives in the upper and lower cutters,
and 55 mm HSS planing knives in
the side cutters. The 30 mm spindle
diameter of the side cutters enables
you to choose from a number of other
cutter systems on the market today.
Our customers
Many of our customers only have their
planer for personal use. Even more
of them combine this with selling the
finished products or offering subcontract
work on a limited scale. It does not
require many hours of paid planing
per year in order to cover the annual
costs of a PH260. The largest customer
group consists of small businesses in the
wood refinement field and do-it-yourself
stores.

BEST AT SMALL SCALE
WOOD PROCESSING!
Logosol’s Panel planer/moulder is
especially developed for small scale
wood processing. It is economical,
and in most cases it is better suited
for a small business than is a big-size,
second-hand industrial planer.
An investment in a PH260 often leads
to a dramatic increase in profitability
for companies that try to make a
living from sawing on a small scale.
